Valentine's Card

Thank goodness for the Card Concept's "Love is in the Air" #108 and Sunday Stamps SSC198 lovely sketch, both of which arrived in time for me to make a Valentine's Day card for my husband. I ended up making two colourways, and liked both. (With any luck, he won't remember the card and I can give him the other one next year!)
I'd call the card clean and layered: a stripped back version of the sketch, in which I responded to the colours and clean lines of Card Concept's photo inspiration.

Stampin' Up! card (Whisper White, Merry Merlot, Crumb Cake, Basic Black), white embossing powder, stamp (Sure Do Love You), dies (Lots to Love Box Framelits), enamel shapes, Corrugated embossing folder.
Other: white kitchen string

  1. Fantastic CAS card! Love the design and neutral colors. Thanks for joining us at Sunday Stamps, hope to see you again soon!

  2. Nice use of the sketch! I like the corrugated background for your CAS cards! Thanks for sharing with us at SUNDAY STAMPS :)

  3. Love this card. Those horizontal stripes create an awesome background.

  4. So gorgeous - LOVE that heart stamp, it really pops against that corrugated background - beautiful! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

  5. Beautiful both of them. I like the rustic nature and no-nonsense feel of these cards.

  6. Fantastic card - love the clean and simple design and all the texture. Thanks so much for joining us at The Card Concept.
