Elegant vases

I was so happy when my Stampin' Up Varied Vases arrived - I'd been looking forward to playing with it. The combination of a great sketch from Just Add Ink and colours from Color Throwdown gave me the chance. (I always feel odd about writing 'colour' - spelling it the English way - when the blog is spelt the American way, but I feel even odder spelling it without the 'u'! So I've resigned myself to two spellings in the same sentence!)
Here's the card. I tried to get three different intensities of navy on the vases, but not sure how successful I was!

Card ingredients:
Stampin' Up ink (Night of Navy, Blushing Bride, Basic Black), card (Blushing Bride, Night of Navy, Whisper White), stampset (Varied Vases)
Other: francheville gold diamantes and some gold washi tape (sorry, no idea where I got it!)

Spring colours

For this card, I used the layout from CAS Colours and Sketch's #267 and the colours from Color Throwdown's #488. I like the result enough that it's shortlisted for my daughter's birthday card!
The card:

Made using:
Papermill Freehand Lines stencil
Simon Says Stamp Artsy Flower Parts stamps and dies
Stampin' Up Whisper White heavy cardstock, ink (Cucumber Crush, Pool Party, So Saffron, Basic Black) and Candy Dots

Krafty!

I was immediately drawn to the colour combination in the latest Colour Throwdown Challenge (#476; Kraft, Light Blue and White) and used those colours in Freshly Made Sketch's Challenge #320.  For the koru (swirl) shapes inside the frame, I sponged an embossing folder with blue ink and then embossed the card. I backed the sentiment with Kraft paper to give it a bit more oomph.

Made using:
Stampin' Up: paper (Whisper White, Marina Mist, Kraft) ink (Marina Mist) Quilt Builder and Celebrate You thinlits Glitter Enamel dot.
Other: Craft Creations koru embossing folder and a random bit of blue paper left over from my daughter.

Orange Light

As You See It's challenge #160 was the first time I've attempted a speed challenge, and I took the bloggers at their word and prepared before I started - my craft table looked like I was preparing for surgery. I regretted deciding on masking the card for the background cross (in fact, I confess, I had to start the whole thing again - does rehearsal count?). Anyway, I was a few seconds over in the end, but I'm still counting it!
And fortuitously, the colours of this challenge (shades of orange and neutrals) matched up with Color Throwdown's Challenge #464 - so I got double the entry for that stress!
Here's the card:

Made using:
Stampin' Up card: Whisper White, Tip top Taupe, Cajun Craze, ink: Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, stamps: Make a Medallion, dies: Layering Circles
