Happy Wedding Day

By a happy coincidence, I saw Global Design Project's challenge #239 - Weddings - right when my Stampin' Up! order FINALLY arrived after lockdown Level 4 here in NZ. Those gorgeous borders just beg to be made into wedding cards! Just Add Ink's colour challenge #504 - Rococo Rose, Smoky Slate and Basic Grey - seemed like a match made in heaven.
I only glued the centre of both the ornate border and the roses - I liked the way the edges rose off the page. In fact, I gently sponged Smoky Slate under the lacy border to heighten the shadowed effect.
Now all we need is to be allowed to gather for weddings, and I'll be able to use it.
Keep safe, everyone.

Ingredients: Stampin' Up! card (Whisper White, Thick Whisper White), ink (Rococo Rose, Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Stazon Black), Stamps (Petal Palette, Beautiful Bouquet - sentiment), dies, (Petals and More, Ornate Frames)
Other - francheville rhinestones.

Daisies and plaid

I liked the Flower Challenge's sketch #31 a great deal, and it gave me a chance to experiment with masking and stripes, to form a plaid background for my old favourites, the daisies from 'Grateful Bunch'. I had thought I might just use shades of pink, but decided, as I put it together, that it needed a pop of green.

Ingredients: Stampin' Up! card (Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Call me Clover), ink (Flirty Flamingo, Memento Black, Stazon Black), Grateful Bunch stamps, daisy punch, Petal Palette stamps (sentiment), Petals and More Thinlits.
Other products: My Favourite Things Plaid Background Builder, francheville rhinestones.

A card for Esmé

I began, this time, by wanting to make a card for a new baby - Esmé - and ended up making two cards using the same two challenges: CAS Colours and Sketches #261 and Colour Throwdown's #482. Interesting that they ended up so different, despite their shared inspiration!

Say thanks with flowers

At first glance, I wasn't particularly excited by the new Stampin' Up Petal Passion Suite. However, having used it extensively to make this card, in response to Time Out's challenge #100: Be Thankful; and As You See It's lovely sketch challenge #167, I'm a convert. I also had a chance to try alcohol based markers, and loved those as well. More playing ahead!
The card:

Made using:
Stampin' Up: Petal Psssion Suite (Petal Palette Stamp set and Petals and More thinlit dies), Stampin' Blends Markers (Pink Pirouette light and dark, Rich Razzleberry Light, Old Olive light and dark), ink (Sweet Sugarplum, Basic Black), card (Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Night of Navy) and dies (Stitched Shapes, Labels)
