Speedy shades of grey

It's not often (in fact, this might be a first!) that a blog challenge makes me laugh out loud - but As You See It's challenge #175: 'Speedy Shades of Grey' - did!
The card took me 9 minutes and 20 seconds - although, in the interests of full disclosure, I did pause the countdown when the pearls dropped behind the desk and I had to get down on hands and knees to retrieve them! It also made me realise I really need to buy 'Basic Grey' ink - I was hard pressed to find more than one shade!

Card ingredients:
Stampin' Up paper (Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla), stamps (Southern Serenade, Party Pants), ink (Smoky Slate, Basic Black), dies (Layering Circles)
Other Products: Francheville pearls, Memento London Fog ink.

  1. I'm glad we gave you a giggle, JoMo! You did a super job in under 10 minutes, and I would have paused to pick up the pearls, too! They make great grey accents. I love the lacy look of the background stamp and the composition of your design! Thanks for playing along with our speed challenge at As You See It!

  2. It is a giggle, isn't it? Love that stamp set, Southern Serenade. Once again -one I don't have! You've done a great job in the time - isn't it funny how as soon as you start the timer, you feel a sense of pressure. Lovely job and thank you for joining us at As You See It.

  3. Very pretty....a lovely floral image and the layout and pearls just add the right touch! I can sympathize with dropping the pearls...stuff like that happens to me all the time! Glad you got it done under the gun, and thanks for sharing it with us!
