Daisies and plaid

I liked the Flower Challenge's sketch #31 a great deal, and it gave me a chance to experiment with masking and stripes, to form a plaid background for my old favourites, the daisies from 'Grateful Bunch'. I had thought I might just use shades of pink, but decided, as I put it together, that it needed a pop of green.

Ingredients: Stampin' Up! card (Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Call me Clover), ink (Flirty Flamingo, Memento Black, Stazon Black), Grateful Bunch stamps, daisy punch, Petal Palette stamps (sentiment), Petals and More Thinlits.

Daisies & Lace

One thing I love about the Retro Rubber Challenge blog is that it makes me reconsider and reuse old favourites - and for the latest sketch challenge:

 I turned back to one of my 'best of the best' stamp sets - Grateful Bunch - one of the very first stamps I bought when I discovered the wonderful world of card making (from the 2016- 2017 catalogue). Paper Craft Crew provided me with a lovely set of very spring-like colours:

 - entirely suitable down here in New Zealand, where we're seeing daffodil plants edge their way above the cold ground's surface - a promise that spring will be here soon!

Ingredients:
Stampin' Up card, (Thick Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White), ink (Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black), Stamp set (Grateful Bunch and Mixed Borders for sentiment), Daisy punch, Glitter enamel dots

Daisy Delight

I've had a break from making cards - and then a break from making them in response to challenges - but here I am again. There's not a whole lot of stamping on this card, but as I was responding to Retro Rubber's latest challenge (#84, a lovely spring image), the stamps are all from at least a year ago - the daisy from Grateful Bunch (2016 - 2017 catalogue), the sentiment from Crazy about You (2016 - 2017) and the grass from Sheltering Trees (2015-2016).
I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch - #267 - for the layout. I sponged some clouds to begin, and then added the die cut ones for impact.

Double Dipper

I couldn't resist having a go at CAS Colours and Sketches' Double Challenge #238, even though I'm new enough at stamping that I didn't have any of the colours - so had to substitute the closest ones I have.
I've been feeling like I wasn't getting maximum benefit from Stampin' Up's Eastern Suite, so when I saw the circle on the sketch, I thought, 'Right! Here's my chance.'  I also used I technique which is probably familiar to a lot of people but new to me - bukeh colouring.

Spotlit friendship

I liked the flexibility of Time Out's 3rd birthday challenge: Love and/or Friendship. For me, it helped to have the bit of extra focus provided by the extra challenge of spotlight stamping.
I used Grateful Bunch, this time, because the sentiments suited the challenge (and because I love those flowers!)

Love Weddings!

It's a while since I've been to a wedding - I think I'm between generations, so to speak. But I'm sure this card will end up being used, and anyway, it was a lot of fun to make.
My inspiration for the card was three challenges: Fab Friday's Challenge #104, which asked me to use the colours Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Sky and Very Vanilla; CAS(E) this Sketch's Challenge #205, using this sketch:

and Less is More's Theme Challenge #312, 'New Beginnings'. 

I loved the colours, finding them relaxing to work with, The sketch was... well, challenging, but I resolved that tricky sentiment issue by using a double layered die cut from a set I love, First Edition Craft's Heart Dies. I also revisited the lace stamp from Grateful Bunch, finding it much easier this second time to work with (so all those attempts last time weren't wasted!).

Daisy thanks

For CAS Colours and Sketches #193, I returned to one of my favourite Stampin' Up stamp sets - Grateful Bunch. I'm definitely not someone who is good at fine, detailed work, so it took a lot of effort and cursing to line the lace edge up. However, in the end I was pleased I'd persevered - and I've got lots of little bits of various-coloured lace-stamped card for future projects!

Happy Birthday Flowers

For this card, I combined two challenges: the Paper Pal Arts PPA319 colour challenge: Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy, and CAS Colours and Sketches #192, a sketch challenge:

I saw lots of possibilities in the sketch, not least of which was a chance to use the colours, which I'd been puzzling over. Here's the result:
